I will try to use my experience and knowledge to provide you with useful information about fitness while backpacking. In the near future I will elaborate on some workout routines you can use while travelling. The most important advice I can give is to stay flexible. A normal work-out routine will not work. There will be times that you are in a city with a lot of fitness centres. On the other hand, there will be moments that you will stay in rural areas with no gym facilities. A work-out routine that focusses on the big three gym movements – the squat, bench press and deadlift – will help you maintain your fitness level while backpacking. In this way, you can maintain your strength and additionally you can shorten your gym workouts.
